I started making gifts for my friends and family with a  laser machine (which I asked for instead of an engagement ring... yes you read that correctly) and after a few long talks with my husband, I decided to turn my hobby into a business. 

There's been a few up's and down's along the way and just as many office moves but fast forward to the present day and I have a team who I can practically call family along with a workshop that's situated in a friendly community of other small businesses.

Here at The Gifting Knot, we're all about creating products which are focused around different events you may celebrate throughout the year.

We love to make products that people will use for special occasions; whether it's adding the wow factor to a birthday cake with one of our toppers, welcoming guests to a wedding reception with our wooden sign or jazzing up your hen party cocktails with our drink stirrers. 

This journey began over 19 years ago when business owner (Amalia) started her first creative venture straight after her degree back in 2002. However, her creativity was always obvious, even as a young child.

Amalia has long-standing experience working in the design industry and is skilled in sales, management, 3D visualisation, and creative problem solving. With over 19 years of design work under her belt, from teaching in local schools to helping small businesses with their design development as well as designing her own products, she is an accomplished and insightful designer.

She often gets carried away with an idea which turns into an illustration and then into amazing new products. Often the tiniest spark leads to a whole new product range, so there is no request too small (or too big) for her to challenge!
