Use a proper wax melt burner
Make sure your burner is suitable for wax melts. If you’re using a tealight burner, always choose an unscented 4-hour tealight.

Don’t overfill the dish
Pop in 4–6 pieces, depending on your burner size. Too much wax can lead to spillover.

Never add water
Wax melts don’t evaporate like oils, so adding water will spoil the fragrance and may cause splattering.

Keep away from draughts
A steady flame helps your wax melt evenly and last longer.

Never move a lit burner
Hot wax can spill easily. Let everything cool completely before touching or cleaning.

Replace the wax when the scent fades
Your melt may still look perfectly fine, but once the fragrance has gone, it’s ready to be swapped out.

Clean your burner safely
Let the wax cool slightly, then ease it out, or warm the dish for a few seconds to loosen it. Wipe away any residue with a soft cloth.

Keep away from children and pets
Warm wax and open flames should always be out of reach.
